Serbia tourism - FAQ

Serbia is a country of some 88.000 km2 and a
tempered continental climate.
It’s situated in the middle of the Balkans in
Southeast Europe.

There are roughly 7.5 million people living in
Serbia most of whom are Orthodox Christian
by religion, as well as Catholic, Muslim,
and other religions.

Our official language is Serbian and we use
both Cyrillic and Latin alphabets.
We learn two foreign languages from elementary
school onwards, out of which one is English
and the other varies.
The dialing number is + 381, the time zone is
GMT + 1 and the electrics are on 220v (50 Hz).

The capital city is Belgrade with population
of roughly two million,
situated at the confluence of two largest
rivers in Serbia, the Sava and Danube.

The local currency is dinar and the exchange
rate is approximately ninety dinars for one euro.
